Today…October 29, 2009
Outside my window… a dark, crisp fall evening
I am thinking… of going to bed soon. It's been a long day!
I am thankful… That life isn't fair. God sent His son to die for us and take our sins. I'm thankful that things aren't fair, because if life was fair, I'd be separated from Christ forever after death.
I am wearing... a blue/brown silk skirt, a blue lace tank top and a brown jacket
I am reading… Proverbs 29, "Kindred" by Octavia Butler ( for school), "The Preacher's Daughter" by Berverly Lewis (for pleasure) She's a wonderful author!!
I am creating…a crocheted scarf for my boyfriend
For education this week... I am continuing my community college classes in music, math, english, and sociology
A keeper at home skill I am using... is baking bread. I recently learned how to bake dinner rolls. I'm not very good at it yet, but they are getting better.
A spiritual lesson I'm learning... To be patient and wait on the Lord. I want to get married and take care of my home, but it's not time yet, so I need to wait for His timing.
A godly character trait I plan to work on… I'm trying to have a gentle spirit. My role model in this matter is Michelle Duggar. She is cheerful all the time and always has a kind and gentle spirit.
Scripture I am memorizing…I'm not currently memorizing anything. I really struggle with knowing what to memorize. Any suggestions?
I'm praying for… the salvation of my father, for my boyfriend to grow in his faith and that I would be a shining light for Christ
For the rest of the week… that I would finish my research for my sociology project
